Position Summary:
\nLogicSource is seeking a full-time Manager for their Westport, CT headquarters. This role will be a key member of the Strategic Sourcing team, reporting to the Managing Director, Strategic Sourcing- Distribution & Logistics. The Manager will be responsible for leading and managing engagements within clients’ Distribution and Logistics Spend, including Retail 3PL, Truckload, LTL, Ocean, Air, and Warehousing.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\n– Develop and manage Sourcing and Procurement engagements for various transportation modes
\n– Negotiate prices, schedules, turnaround times, and terms with suppliers
\n– Create and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service
\n– Identify and resolve operational, procurement, and relationship challenges
\n– Analyze trends and implement solutions for client deliverables
\n– Act as primary liaison between client business units and supply chain partners
\n– Build client relationships, identify new opportunities, and facilitate communication
\n– Provide exceptional customer service and ensure high client satisfaction
\n– Adapt to client culture while upholding professional standards
\n– Deliver detailed procurement reporting and cost savings tracking
\n– Monitor and evaluate supplier performance
\n– Recommend and implement process improvements for enhanced procurement efficiency<\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\n– Bachelor’s degree required
\n– 5+ years of experience in 3PL, Small Parcel, Truckload, LTL categories
\n– Previous experience in sourcing logistics services and materials
\n– Knowledge of supplier communities in relevant categories
\n– Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
\n– Familiarity with Sourcing Technology solutions (Coupa, Jaggaer, Keelvar, etc.)
\n– Proficiency in Excel\/financial analysis and planning
\n– Strong organizational and communication skills<\/p>\n
Travel:
\nMinimal travel may be required for this position.<\/p>\n
