**Job Summary:**<\/p>\n
The Category Manager, Packaging role at Tarkett North America is a key position responsible for developing and executing competitive and sustainable packaging solutions ($20M). This individual contributor position involves collaborating with stakeholders across Tarkett’s business units to identify spend requirements and implement effective category strategies.<\/p>\n
**Specific duties include:**
\n– Identifying innovative packaging solutions with a focus on total cost of ownership, sustainability, risk management, and cost improvements.
\n– Leading value add\/value engineering programs in design to cost activities within the packaging category.
\n– Developing and executing category plans and sourcing strategies for packaging and related goods\/services.
\n– Establishing contract strategies and negotiating key commercial positions.
\n– Utilizing the 7 Step Sourcing process to manage category activities effectively.
\n– Leading cross-functional stakeholder councils to ensure performance of category management strategies.
\n– Analyzing market dynamics, establishing KPI targets, and conducting supplier business reviews.<\/p>\n
**Minimum Qualifications:**
\n– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent (MBA preferred).
\n– Minimum 5 years of Production, Sourcing, or Engineering experience.
\n– Ability to travel up to 25%.<\/p>\n
**Preferred Qualifications:**
\n– Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a multi-factory environment.
\n– Knowledge of packaging cost drivers and market trends.
\n– Strong business case development skills and experience in category management strategies.
\n– Proficiency in market benchmarking and cost modeling analytics.
\n– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.<\/p>\n
