About the Role:
\n\u2022 The intent is to utilize the network and expertise of an established leader in the industry to monitor and facilitate the recovery of the supplier’s portfolio, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and operational efficiency. Our Customer will assess the suppliers\u2019 expertise and select the best technical and commercial offer based on their Technical and Commercial requirements. The expected outcome is to award the best-fit option for the services in question for a period determined. This RFP is not to be interpreted as a contractual document.<\/p>\n
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
\n\u2022 Supplier Performance Monitoring:
\n\u2022 Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, focusing on key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality standards, and production capacity.
\n\u2022 Identify root causes of underperformance and propose corrective actions.
\n\u2022 Recovery Plan Implementation:
\n\u2022 Collaborate with supplier management to develop and execute a comprehensive recovery plan.
\n\u2022 Track progress and ensure alignment with Safran’s operational goals.
\n\u2022 On-Site Presence:
\n\u2022 Maintain a presence at the supplier’s facility 3 to 5 days a week to oversee operations and provide real-time feedback.
\n\u2022 Act as the primary liaison between Safran and the supplier, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of issues.
\n\u2022 Risk Management:
\n\u2022 Conduct risk assessments to identify potential disruptions in the supply chain.
\n\u2022 Implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on Safran’s operations.
\n\u2022 Reporting and Documentation: RFP Supplier Recovery Representative
\n\u2022 Provide regular updates to Safran’s management team, including detailed reports on supplier performance and recovery progress.
\n\u2022 Maintain accurate records of all interactions, assessments, and corrective actions.
\n\u2022 Stakeholder Coordination:
\n\u2022 Work closely with Safran’s procurement, quality, and logistics teams to ensure a unified approach to supplier recovery.
\n\u2022 Facilitate collaboration between the supplier and Safran’s internal teams to address challenges effectively.<\/p>\n
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and\/or abilities required.
\n\u2022 Strong background in supply chain management and supplier performance improvement.
\n\u2022 Excellent communication and project management skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
\n\u2022 Understanding of manufacturing processes, such as casting and forging, is a plus.
\n\u2022 Flexibility and initiative to adapt to evolving challenges and drive effective solutions.<\/p>\n
Education\/Experience: Bachelor\u2019s degree or 7+ years of related experience<\/p>\n
Salary Range: open for negotiation (W2 or 1099 employment)<\/p>\n
Location: Ideal employee travels between Portland, OR and Burbank, CA<\/p>\n
